Australia and New Zealand operate strict biosecurity controls in addition to customs duty and GST. All used items, vehicles and outdoor equipment must be clean to AQIS/MPI standards. Vehicles need import approval (VIA / VIP) before they can be exported from the UK.

Standard documents required for Auckland are a commercial invoice, a packing list, a copy of your passport (or company UTR/EORI for commercial cargo) and the original Bill of Lading. Vehicles additionally require the V5C logbook, a UK export declaration and proof of ownership.
